Healthy Living Network: First placements in 17 days.
How Healthy Living Network Turned Array HQ into a Recruiting Partner
Healthy Living Network ran a one-month pilot and had placements inside seventeen days. Scott Melead had joined to build the network's talent acquisition department from nothing — when he arrived, it didn't even have an ATS.
The Healthy Living Network is a network of home health, hospice, and home care agencies with a mission to provide personalized in-home healthcare with kindness and compassion. It currently serves seven states across the west coast and continues to grow.
Scott Melead began his career in IT staffing, working both temp and permanent placements, before joining Healthy Living Network to build out its talent acquisition department. Healthcare recruiting was new to him and the department was still at the startup stage. "Healthcare isn't going anywhere, so I decided to take that jump," Scott said. "It was a little scary at first because I walked in and realized we didn't even have an ATS yet."
Scott and a Senior Recruiter built the hiring structure from the ground up — the ATS, the recruiting metrics, the onboarding. The department now supports around 30 home health and hospice agencies across the network. "Since that small office, we've moved to a new office of about 40 people, and we're actually knocking out the wall next door to expand even further." Scott's role shifted to Recruitment Manager, overseeing full-cycle recruiting from hiring initiatives to individual staffing plans and vendor relationships.

Seventeen days into a one-month trial
Scott and his team went looking for new recruiting resources after a month-long trial with ZipRecruiter and Monster left him unimpressed. Then an Array HQ email landed. "The marketing email caught my eye, and I thought, let's try it, why not?" He ran a one-month pilot.
"When we did the pilot program with Array HQ, we already had a few placements within 17 days," Scott said. "It was really easy to put together a case that the platform was worth it."
The problem he was solving wasn't volume for its own sake. "I felt we had saturated the talent market on specific platforms and needed other channels to keep growing and expanding." Array HQ supplemented what the network already ran and reached applicants it hadn't before. "I've been impressed with the applicant flow. It's always been steady. The first thing I do in the morning is check all of the applications that come in through Array HQ and send them to my team."

A partner, not a platform
Beyond a new applicant channel, Array HQ's Account Management team became an extension of Scott's own — adjusting campaigns to fit his hiring needs, a flexibility he hadn't found elsewhere.
"That's where other platforms have fallen short recently," he said. "They haven't been a true partner. So it's refreshing to have that with Array HQ."
Scott recommends Array HQ to recruiting teams looking to diversify their applicant channels. "It's about not putting all your eggs in one basket."
"Our experience has been great," Scott said. "It really goes back to that partnership." Request a demo to see what recruitment advertising or outsourced recruiting can do for your applicant flow.
